Before the leaves start changing, let’s talk about the incredible summer we had! Things were heating up here at LyricFind HQ – join us in looking back at the events and gatherings that summertime had in store, and keep reading to discover where we’re off to next.
FROM LONDON TO DETROIT TO NEW YORK
We kicked off June across the pond at SXSW London, where the festival’s debut UK edition delivered an incredible mix of grassroots creativity and sharp industry dialogue. We were proud to contribute to an event that celebrated not just music, but the communities and cultures that sustain it.
From there, we shifted gears – quite literally – at AutoTech Detroit, where our team spotlighted how lyrics are re-defining the infotainment landscape. The message was clear: lyrics don’t just add context, they create immersive, user-first experiences that drive real engagement.
Then it was off to The Big Apple, where June truly came alive. At A2IM’s Indie Week, our Founder and CEO, Darryl Ballantyne, delved deep into how visual storytelling strengthens the connection between artist and fan with his panel, “Elevate Your Game: Video Content That Boosts Streams.” Keeping the wheels turning, he then brought fresh insights to the ever-complex world of rights and artist management with “Know Your Rights” at this year’s Music Managers Forum. To cap off the month, the Society Publisher Forum gathered 200+ leaders in rights, publishing, and licensing, where LyricFind had the chance to deepen partnerships and set the stage for what’s next.
ON THE WEB & WORLDWIDE
Back home in Toronto, we traded planes for podcasts, joining Sound Connections and The Smartest People In The Room in intimate discussions on where lyric licensing is headed. Check out both below!
August kept the energy high. New Orleans saw our SVP of International Publishing, Robert Singerman, take the stage at Cutting Edge with “Represent Legacy Artists: Where the Money in Music Comes From,” giving expert perspective to trends in music publishing, asset management and estate planning. Closing out the month, we traveled to Mumbai for All About Music, connecting with creators and decision-makers shaping one of the world’s most dynamic music markets.
SO... WHAT'S NEXT?
Now, as we gaze upon the possibilities that await us in September, we plan to continue driving the momentum of the ever-changing lyric landscape forward. So, get ready: we’re gearing up for a packed season of even more influence and impact.
In October, we’ll head to the IMPF Global Music Summit in Palma de Mallorca to sit down with independent publishers from across the globe, discussing all things royalties, licensing strategies, and the future of music publishing.
That same week, we’ll head back to London for the MusicAlly Publishing Summit, a brand-new event dedicated to tackling the most pressing issues in modern publishing, from AI to sync licensing, and the evolving relationship between DSPs and publishers.
Don’t worry, we haven’t seen enough of New York just yet. We’re excited to touch down in October for the tenth anniversary of Mondo.NYC, where innovators, artists and entrepreneurs from music and tech will gather to shape the next chapter of the industry.
November brings us back to Los Angeles as Supernova sponsors for Music Tectonics, a conference we love for its high-energy sessions that dig into the trends and technologies transforming the music business.
Finally, we’ll close the year in Rio de Janeiro at Trends Brasil, a one-stop meeting place for Latin America’s executives, producers, and artists, where we’ll explore opportunities for cross-border growth and lyric-driven discovery.
